Scientific Program Committee - Tyng-Ruey Chuang

Tyng-Ruey Chuang is an associate research fellow at Academia Sinica, Taipei, Taiwan. He is affiliated with both the Institute of Information Science and the Research Center for Information Technology Innovation (CITI). He is also an associate professor at the Department of Information Management, National Taiwan University. During the 2011-2012 academic year, he is a fellow at the Berkman Center for Internet and Society at Harvard University.

His research interest includes programming languages, Web technologies, geo-spatial informatics, and Internet and society. He is the public lead of Creative Commons Taiwan, and is involved in Open Source Softare Foundry (OSSF). Both Creative Commons Taiwan and OSSF are projects hosted at CITI, Academia Sinica.
